Parks and Open Spaces

Flowering Grasses

Open Spaces

In addition to the parkland within the town centre itself there will be a range of spaces, both weather- protected and open air – Market Square, Town Centre Square, “The Backyard”, Leisure Square, the Courts, the Secret Garden and “The Belvedere”, to name a few – for community activities. Each space will serve a different purpose, be useable in a variety of weather conditions and cater for a broad range of community uses.

Contact Rouse Hill Town Centre for more information on Ph: 8239 3400 or www.rhtc.com.au/community.asp

Your Backyard

More than 25 percent of The New Rouse Hill is green open space providing plenty of room for every activity. Facilities in the new reserves will include walking trails, playgrounds, an amphitheatre and barbecue areas. The parks and reserves are linked by well-lit walking tracks and cycle paths so it’s easy and safe to get around. Your new home also offers several community facilities – friendly spaces for you to use and enjoy.

Caddies Creek

Caddies Creek meanders through the middle of The New Rouse Hill, providing open spaces for you to enjoy. Already, the shores of the creek are being regenerated (using plants native to the area) to restore this waterway to its former natural state. The reserve directly adjacent to the creek will house the environment centre and amphitheatre.

Mungerie House

Our history and our future will come together in the newly restored Mungerie House, one of the original farm homesteads in the area. Mungerie House and surrounding parkland will be home to a range of community activities and facilities for local residents

The Amphitheatre

This open-air facility, next to Caddies Creek, will be your space for community events such as Carols by Candlelight or end-of-year school concerts – imagine a warm summer night picnicking with friends at jazz in the park. With informal seating for around 200 people, this flexible venue will be a community destination.
