Fridge Buyback Program is on again...

Did you know you can save money and help the environment by getting rid of your home's old second working fridge?

The very popular "Fridge Buyback" Program has returned to the Sire, and Council is urging residents to hand in their old, inefficient working second fridge and have it collected for free.

Residents with a fridge 10 years or older and larger than 250 litres can participate in the scheme, and by handing in their old fridge they can save on average over $190 per year on energy bills and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by one tonne per fridge.

As well as free collection, residents may also be eligible to receive a $35 rebate if six stairs or less are involved in removing their fridge.

Fridge Buyback is supported by the NSW Government's Climate Change Fund, and all fridges collected will be degassed and recycled.  Residents can find out more by contacting Fridge Buyback on 1800 708 401 or visiting www.fridgebuyback.com.au to register your interest.
