District Park Update

The New Rouse Hill residents have another reason to get excited with District Park programmed to open towards the end of this year.

The 10,800m2 green open space will offer walking and cycling trails, a bridge and boardwalk over Caddies Creek, an amphitheatre and stage area for entertainment, grassed kick around spots and important regional facilities, such as an Environment Centre.

The District Park will link The New Rouse Hill with Ironbark Ridge Primary School and Rouse Hill High School, enabling children living in the community to walk to school.

The Environment Centre at District Park will be a learning and discovery hub for the region.  Taking learning outside, the Environment Centre will function as an open-air classroom and meeting venue for local schools and community groups, and includes a BBQ and seating facilities.

Sustainable landscaping has also been central to the development of District Park, which includes bush regneration areas and over 16,500 new plants and trees.

District Park is programmed to be completed towards the end of 2009.  For information on its progress residents and purchasers can check for regular updates on Our Rouse or contact our Customer Liaison Manager on 1800 200 902.
