Residents of The New Rouse Hill get together for Clean up Australia Day
On Sunday 7th March residents of The New Rouse Hill came together armed with gloves and garbage bags, showing their support for Clean up Australia Day.
The New Rouse Hill residents offered up their time, kicking off clean up at White Hart Drive at 8:00am. Working solidly for four hours, residents had the neighbourhood looking its best, collecting a total of 20 garbage bags.
Site Coordinator and resident Daniel Motbey led the group in their efforts saying, “Similar to all our community initiatives, the response to Clean up Australia Day was impressive. Residents should feel proud of themselves for giving up their free time and getting their hands dirty”.
Arthur llias, Project Director of The New Rouse Hill said, “The New Rouse Hill has tremendous community spirit, as evidenced by their enthusiasm and motivation to make a difference. It was great to see residents coming together on Clean up Australia Day and have some fun along the way with family and friends”.
